Forestry

Can you promote an understanding of why forestry is important? Then this event is for you!

The purpose of this event is to stimulate student interest and to promote forestry instruction in the agricultural education curriculum and to provide recognition for those who have demonstrated skills and competencies as a result of forestry instruction. The event requires participants to take a general knowledge exam, identify trees, complete a forestry interview, and more.

  • Age Range: Members in Grades 9-12
  • Competition Venue: This event is held the week after the State FFA Convention at the NYS Envirothon
