Recognizing the value of Environmental and Natural Resource Instruction!

The purpose of the environmental and natural resource career development event is to stimulate student interest and to promote environmental and natural resource instruction in the agricultural education curriculum and to provide recognition for those who have demonstrated skills and competencies as a result of environmental and natural resource instruction.

  • NY Contest Description: A team will consist of four members with all members' scores counting towards the team score. Students will be expected to complete: the identification portion of the Tree ID event; the wildlife identification event; a written evaluation based on the Applied Environmental Science curriculum published by The Council; identification of environmental equipment and apparatus; and depending on availability, students may be required to perform a water or soil test and evaluate results. All participants are expected to wear an FFA jacket or state or chapter FFA shirt. LINK TO DISCRIPTION
