State Reporter Andrew Armstrong from VVS Central School
I am currently a senior at
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central schools where I have been an active member of
the FFA for 6 years. Outside of the FFA, I participate in LEAD USA , a
leadership program at my school. I also work on a dairy farm where we milk
180 cows. In my spare time I like to go hiking, camping, and hunting. I have
participated in a few CDE`s like, prepared public speaking, job interview,
and parliamentary procedure.
My SAE is in agriculture production, where I assist in the production of
maple syrup. We use over 1500 taps on about a 10 acre lot. We use all modern
equipment even though our new mobile maple museum will show people old and
new maple production equipment. I plan to graduate from Cornell or
Cobleskill and major in agricultural education. I look forward to serving
the NYS FFA and meeting as many new people as I can.
