Institute Location

Lowville Academy and Central School was chartered by the State of New York in 1808, occupies a single pre-kindergarten through grade 12 building and serves approximately 1,420 students. The school, with a professional teaching staff of 135 and an instructional support staff of 110, has long enjoyed a reputation for excellence in the North Country. Lowville, the seat of Lewis County, lies in the Black River Valley between the foothills of the Adirondacks and the Tug Hill Plateau.

Lodging

The Ridge View Lodge is located 1.7 miles, from Lowville Academy and Central School.  Each participant has been placed in a double occupancy room unless you requested to pay an additional $200 fee for a single occupancy room based on availability.  If you have chosen to commute, you will be required to complete the CASE institute commuter Memorandum of Understanding and bring it with you to registration on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Here is a link to the Ridge View Lodge.  The Ridge View has coin operated laundry facilities, wireless internet and each room has a mini-fridge and microwave.  Guests can check into their rooms at the Ridge View any time after 2:00pm on Sunday, July 28, 2019.  Pets are not permitted during the Institute.

Meals

A continental breakfast will be provided each day at the River View Lodge for overnight guests.  Breakfast will be on your own for commuters. Lunch, dinner, and daily snacks will be provided for participants each day of instruction.  Some dinners will be on your own and funds will be provided as well as recommendations to allow participants time to enjoy the local area.  During the day or weekend “off” participants will be on their own for meals.

The closest airports are Syracuse (80 miles) or Watertown (35 miles). Please let us know if you need transportation arranged from either airport.
