New York National Officer Candidate from Albion Central School

New York is proud to have Anna selected as this year's National Officer Candidate and represent the Association in Indiana this October!

Name: Anna Metcalf
Age: 19
Grade: Sophomore at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN
SAE Area: Swine Production
Career Goal: Ag Lobbyist
Who is your FFA hero/role model? My FFA role model is my older sister, Lynn Metcalf.  She was the reason I went to my first meeting.  Her determination and involvement really inspired me to strive for the best.  Her guidance, love, and support has driven me to reach higher than I ever thought possible!
Favorite Ice Cream: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Favorite Song: "Pressin' on" by Relient K
Best FFA Memory: Wow. It is hard to choose just one after having so many great times in FFA.  But if I had to choose just one, I would say state convention my junior year.  This convention was held at my school.  Going through the planning and then seeing the convention happen was one of the coolest experiences I have had.  It brought my chapter closer and allowed me to meet people from across the state.
Favorite Activity at Camp "O": Low ropes because it gives you the chance to get to know people, learn your strengths, and have fun trying something new!
What is one goal you want to accomplish this year? To serve New York & FFA on a National level!
